Proof of purchase

Proof of purchase is documentation showing that you bought a product or used a service covered by a settlement. Common examples include receipts, order confirmations, bank or credit card statements, and loyalty account records.

Some settlements require proof for every claim, some require it only above a certain payment amount, and others let you file without any proof by signing a statement that you qualify.

Even when proof is not required, keeping any records you have can help if the administrator asks for more information. The official claim form will explain exactly what counts as acceptable proof.
