Sony Interactive Entertainment
PlayStation Lawsuit
Sony Interactive Entertainment agreed to a $7.85 million settlement resolving antitrust claims over PlayStation Store digital game pricing. Most eligible members are paid automatically; deactivated-account holders must contact the administrator by August 27, 2026.
Key facts
Sony Interactive Entertainment agreed to a proposed class action settlement to resolve claims that it engaged in anticompetitive conduct to monopolize the PlayStation digital game market, causing consumers to pay more than they otherwise would have for certain digital games. Sony denies the allegations, and the settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing.
You may be a Settlement Class Member if, between April 1, 2019 and December 31, 2023, you purchased a qualifying digital video game through the PlayStation Store for which a game-specific voucher was previously available. Most active PSN account holders will receive a pro-rata payment automatically credited to their wallet with no claim form required. Members with deactivated PSN accounts must contact the Settlement Administrator with proof of purchase and a current address by August 27, 2026 to receive payment.
